How does it stay cool without being plugged in?
The mat uses pressure-activated cooling fibers that absorb body heat and dissipate it into the surrounding air. No water or refrigeration is needed — as soon as your pet steps off, the mat releases the heat and resets itself in about 15–20 minutes.
Is it safe if my dog tries to chew it?
Yes. The Barkly mat is made of non-toxic fabric layers with reinforced edges. It's built tough for the most curious chewers, but if you have an extreme chewer we still recommend supervised use.
How do I clean it?
Wipe down with a damp cloth and mild soap. The surface is waterproof and stain-resistant, so it dries quickly and stays fresh between cleanings.
